Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is Now Hiring for an Overnight Kitchen Mechanic

- Must be able to work the 3rd shift
- Previous Kitchen Mechanic Experience
- Strong Customer Service Skills
-Post high school training in engineering/maintenance related discipline.

 Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
 Strong mechanical background with minimum 2 years hands on experience in Refrigeration/Kitchen maintenance, requiring journey level responsibility. Hospitality preferred
 Ability to bend, stoop, and lift ( up to 75 lbs.) repetitively
 Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays
 Must be guest oriented and possess excellent hospitality skills
 Responsible for effectively maintaining and repairing all refrigeration and kitchen equipment in the hotels.
 Performs work requiring the specialized skills of refrigeration/Kitchen mechanic, in addition to performing other general maintenance duties.
 Maintains working conditions of restaurant equipment including fryers, dishwashers, stoves, food mixers and buffet line equipment.
 Keeps machinery operating in a safe, efficient manner, acceptable with all health codes.
 Read schematics and performs electrical troubleshooting on all mechanical equipment.
 Relocates existing equipment when requested.
 Maintains an adequate supply of materials needed for the efficient performance of job.
 Responds to trouble/complaint/maintenance request calls throughout the hotel and grounds when directed to do so by supervisor
 May work with hazardous materials and chemicals in the performance of duties
 Uses tools, equipment, materials and chemicals safely and efficiently according to manufacturer’s instructions/MSDS requirements
 Communicates status of job assignments and maintenance requests to supervisor
 Notifies supervisor/dispatcher as required upon completion of work assignment
 Is completely familiar with Hotel Emergency procedures and able to respond quickly and accurately during any emergency situation that may arise
 Other duties as assigned

 Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times
 Notifies appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance
 Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow employees
 Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
 Complies with required safety regulations and procedures
 Attends appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions
 Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area
 Complies with hotel standards, policies and rules
 Recycles whenever possible
 Remains current with hotel information and changes
 Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards
 Responsible for effectively maintaining and repairing all refrigeration and kitchen equipment in the hotels.
