Job Title: Temporary Camp Independence Assistant
Locations: 3 f/t (40 Hours Week) @ 4005 Campus Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76119
Work Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday thru Friday (May 28th thru August 3rd)
Assist VAT (Vocational Adjustment Program) Trainer in the provision of services to DARS’ transitional high school students with disabilities during the Camp Independence Summer Program; to include instructions in online applications, resume creation, virtual and verbal job readiness training; referral to community resources and job placement. Track and monitor Campers’ enrollment and weekly progress; other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements: Completed Bachelor or Associate Degree, or currently completing Bachelor Degree program in Social Work or other related field. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills; strong experience with PC/MS Apps/Internet, office administrative procedures; and be attentive to details. Ability to motivate individuals with disabilities and employment barriers.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, lift 50 lbs., and sufficiently mobile to perform duties of the position.
Legal Requirements: Valid State Driver’s License or ID, drug screen, background check, and meet staff qualifications.
Salary: $12.00-$13.00 per Hour
