Purpose of Position

To provide assistance to new and established customers. To provide customer service on a variety of transactions such as accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing withdrawals, posting loan payments, issuing money orders, cashiers and travelers checks. The primary responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to those specifically detailed below.

Education requirementsHigh School

Experience requirementsprevious banking or customer contact, sales, and basic computer experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
Strong written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented and organized

ResponsibilitiesProvide a full range of banking services, with emphasis on outstanding customer service
Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amount, and examines checks for endorsement
May be assigned to be a Vault or ATM teller
Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures
Enters customers’ transactions into a computer to record transactions, issuing computer generated receipts
Place holds on accounts for uncollected funds
Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift
Cross-sell and/or refer all bank products and services
Enter customer information in the core processing system
Process proof work and submit daily to Jack Henry
Prints out customer notices and mails out
Issues CD interest checks and process entries
May be cross trained as a customer service representative
Follow all policies and procedures as they relate to the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering/OFAC program
Complete CTR’s in a timely manner, as applicable
Notify management of any suspicious customer activity
Follow all policies and procedures as they relate to bank compliance and information security
Attend or complete all required training
Back-up for Customer Service Specialist (including but not limited to) verify new accounts, net teller, online banking, and customer service
Perform any and all ensure smooth bank operations. as assigned by supervisor
