Essential Duties & Responsibilities Required
This position is unique and responsible for driving existing vendor partner technology demand with resellers to increase sales. The selected candidate should have a thorough understanding of the direction of the vendor partner's and Tech Data's strategies. These vendors are partial to the Audiovisual market so a knowledge of, and a passion for AV products is essential to success. Our newest team member should possess a passion for winning and an insatiable appetite for knowledge.
Business Development
Performs outbound sales calls to develop profitable business with current customers and build relationships with Vendor Partners
Be expected to make 60 calls per day and minimum of 3 hours of talk time.
Owns pipeline opportunities, forecasts, and other performance reports.
Works with Sales on developing sales strategies to penetrate accounts.
Executes enablement plans with customer growth with designated Vendor Partner
Create and Executive business plans for the development of existing reseller accounts to increase sales and profits.
Must be well organized, disciplined, and have an aggressive attitude.
Account Management
Primary function is to sell the product of the vendor to which they are assigned.
Works to identify and resolve customer needs.
Partners with internal departments to determine optimal pricing to exceed business objectives.
Configure optimal solutions to enable customers to maximize opportunities with their end users.
Maintains expertise on Vendor’s company, products, programs, competition, and market to be able to answer inquiries in a professional and accurate manner
Assists Vendor Partners in creating and implementing business plans to uncover new opportunities with existing accounts to increase profitable growth.
Communicates regularly with Vendor Partner and Tech Data management to review account performance, market trends, and business development opportunities.
Relationship Management
Builds influential relationships with the Vendor Partners’ sales teams, Tech Data's sales teams and customers.
Participates in Vendor Partner and Tech Data sponsored meetings, trade shows, seminars, trainings, and other marketing events.
Market Analysis / Research
Evaluates customer slippage reports to determine customers requiring focused attention and follow-up to regain market
Tech Data Product / Services Promotion
Communicates with customers to build mindshare and gain market share for both Tech Data and Vendor Partner.
Required Education And Experience (Years & Type)
Qualifications, Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities and Working Conditions:
High School Diploma Required
2 - 4 Years of Sales Experience
Preferred Education And Experience (Years & Type)
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree
2+ years of sales experience with Audiovisual manufacturers
Some positions may need vendor specific technical or sales certifications
