Qualifications:

* High school education or equivalent preferred.
* Experience can range from 6 months related experience to 4 years oil and gas experience, including 3 years wellhead, BOP, or valve experience.
* Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
* Mechanical aptitude, with emphasis on troubleshooting and problem solving.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented.
* Able to drive safely and able to work independently when required.
* Able to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while on call.
* Able to prioritize work, meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
* Able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
* Able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds on routine basis.
* Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
* Able to deal with wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat/cold.
* Work environment may include moving mechanical parts, fumes, toxic chemicals, airborne particles and moderate to loud noise, requiring consistent use of appropriate PPE.

Job Summary:

Installs, services, troubleshoots and repairs wellheads, valves and other mechanical equipment in field and shop locations.

Job Duties:

Installs, tests, repairs and/or maintains Company wellheads, frac valves and BOPs, to minimize downtime.
Mentors and provides guidance, training, and direction to Service Techs II & III.
Ensures work is completed to Pioneer’s specifications.
Directs, coordinates, and assists with scheduled and unscheduled equipment repairs and maintenance.
Submits accurate maintenance reports and other necessary paperwork.
Maintains organization of equipment to present professional appearance.
Develops and updates routines and procedures to adequately handle ongoing issues, including written procedures and SOPs.
Properly cleans and maintains facilities, vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Operates cutting torch to bevel casing for wellhead installation.
Identifies tools and equipment; inspects tools and equipment regularly.
Knows and understands flanges tighten procedures; set up of stack lift and torquing equipment; different types of hoses and connections; different types of flanges and pressure range.
Maintains organization of equipment to present professional appearance.
Consistently demonstrates positive attitude towards job and coworkers; maintains professional working relationships with co-workers.
Follows and supports all Pioneer HSE policies at all times.
Knows and uses appropriate PPE at all times.
Drives Company vehicles over various types of road conditions and terrain, including highways, rural roads including paved and gravel surfaces, and off road situations including two track roads.
Fills out time sheets, daily work sheets, pre-trip and post-trip inspection forms.
Handles difficult and complex repairs/installations.
Able to make decisions regarding most work.
Stops work due to unsafe conditions or situations.
Supervisor, Crew Members.
Woks under general supervision.
May provide supervision for Service Technicians III and II.
Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
