We Are Blood serves over 40 hospitals and medical facilities in a 10 county area. Our mission is to provide and protect the community blood supply, to inspire Central Texans to save lives locally, and to always treat everyone we serve as family. When you work here, you’re a vital part of helping to ensure that all Central Texans have access to life-saving blood when they need it! We are currently seeking a Receptionist to work part time for our Austin, Texas office.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and be the first point of contact and information for patients, donors and visitors to the main location. To meet and exceed customer expectations and adhere to established quality practices while continually seeking to improve and expand upon performance and knowledge for self and staff.

•Report to work according to department schedule and comply with organizational timekeeping policy
•Greeting donors and patients, verify donor eligibility, distribute education materials and general donor flow of the site
•Check and respond to reception email daily
•Receive and direct all incoming calls, schedule appointments and recruit for special procedures (i.e., ALYX, platelets)
•Ensure all visitors sign in and receive a visitors badge
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

•High school diploma or equivalent is required, prefer some college
•Minimum of 2 years front office/reception experience required
•Must be able to work a maximum of 20 hours a week. PART TIME!
•Ability to handle multiple projects, detail oriented with excellent organization skills, and the capacity to follow through on assignments with little supervision
•Ability to re-assess priorities constantly and take initiative to problem solve when needed
•General working knowledge of computer programs
•Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
•Excellent customer service skills
•Punctual and dependable
•Detail oriented and able to assimilate knowledge then apply it to daily activities.
•Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Power Point, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
