This position oversees the daily activities of the food storeroom receiving and storeroom operations, ensuring adherence to established receiving, stock rotation, requisition and sanitation and security procedures. Additional responsibilities include preparing reports and taking inventories, staffing, training, and scheduling employees.

* Notifies Purchasing of any receiving related discrepancies, to facilitate request for credit or replacement or damaged or discrepant goods
* Maintains organized purchase order and receiving documentation files
* Ensure proper dating, tagging of all food products, materials and supplies placed into storeroom
* proper storage of materials and supplies received, ensures appropriate refrigeration of perishable items, and proper placement and rotation of stock to prevent loss due to deterioration of product quality while in storage
* Follows established requisition procedures for all materials and supplies leaving storeroom
* Forwards completed requisitions
* Monitors par levels for items in inventory, notifies Purchasing when levels reach reorder point
* Monitors temperatures in refrigerated storage areas
* Ensures storeroom cleanliness and adherence to all food safety sanitation requirement
* Follows New Hire Training and ongoing Star Service Competency program in accordance with hotel policy
* Establishes and ensures adherence to all departmental and Loews Hotels guidelines, policies and procedures

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

* Thorough knowledge of meat, seafood, produce and dry goods specifications and standard grading classifications
* Ability to operate basic office equipment, keyboard 25 wpm
* Working knowledge of computer software to include inventory control, Win95, Word, Excel
* Effective management, leadership, organizational and communication skills
* Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
