Job Summary Ensures that all specification sheets and drawings are maintained. Performs first piece, in-process, and final inspections ensuring all quality standards are met.
To observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Reviews the plant schedule to understand what machines/products are being manufactured.
Communicate with the Quality Control Inspector from the previous shift and discuss all pertinent information regarding manufacturing issues (orders, machine issues, staffing…).
Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections.
Performs periodic inspections on production lines to insure that the products are within acceptable limits (weight, tolerances…). Contact mechanic and report any non conforming issues.
Ensure that shipping containers are packed according to customer specifications.
Assists on machines/lines as required.
Fills out NCR’s as necessary.
Coordinate with Production or other personnel in developing and taking necessary corrective action when non-conformances are discovered.
Assist in analyzing Quality System performance using available data from statistical processes, audit information, etc.
Be attentive to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and processes in need of improvement.
Assist Quality Supervisor with the proper organization, retention and maintenance of quality records.
Print labels for box/pallet identification per the plant schedule
Provide training and assistance to new employees.
Report non-compliance of policies to local management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Possess a high level of attention-to-detail and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Be willing to work various shifts, hours, and overtime as required.
Maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.
Must have the necessary skills to perform reading, writing and mathematics in English as required.
Ability to lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds frequently
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds waist high occasionally
Ability to reach over head with 10 - 20 pounds regularly
Ability to bend and stoop frequently
Ability to possess and maintain a Fork Lift Operator’s License
