Waller Construction, founded in 1961 in Lakeland, FL, is expanding their residential and commercial construction services. We are actively scheduling interviews for Civil Engineers with Professional Engineer certification. This is an opportunity for both Experienced Professionals and New Graduates to the profession. This is an office and field work type position, applicants must reside within a reasonable commutable distance to the Lakeland office.

The Professional Engineer role will be focusing on insurance restoration as well as regular commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have background and experience with forensic engineering and construction.
Education requirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
Experience requirements3 -5 years experience with structural engineering related to insurance restoration and general construction for either residential or commercial projects.
New and Recent Graduates will be considered as well.
QualificationsFamiliarity and functional ability with AutoCAD.
Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skills.
Must currently be authorized to work and reside in the US.
US based applicants will only be considered.
ResponsibilitiesEstimate projects as well as handle forensic investigations on water damage, wind damage, fire damage, etc.
Basic floor plans as well as more complex full CAD drawings for general items as well as structural details.
Must be able to handle multiple projects (20 or more) at one time
Work hoursM - F 40 hour work week. Special projects may require varied schedule from time to time.
