SUMMARY
Core duties include, assisting internal and external parts customers on both wholesale and retail purchases. Monitoring customer parts needs and developing solutions and resources for filling those needs. Communicating with customers on invoicing and payments of invoices due. Communicates with manufacturer on parts ordering or supply issues. Engaging ways to develop new customer opportunities. Following an established ordering process and follow up on any outstanding ordering issues.

Experience requirementsIdeal candidate has experience with CDK, proficient with Excel and has general knowledge of parts catalog.

Responsibilities• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials, and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information from electronic or written sources available.
• Reviews body shop estimates to be sure the parts that are ordered are correct and all pricing is in line with the estimate.
• Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Follows up on customer back-ordered parts.
• Verifies will-call and back-order files weekly and returns to vendors, or stocks those items not picked up or required.
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

• Stays abreast of news and changing information as it impacts market conditions. Assists in developing strategies for increasing market share.
• Maintains an awareness of new models and other marketing opportunities to enhance the inventory.
• Develops and maintains a tracking system for customer complaints, including identifying causes and recommending resolutions.
• Ensures that all personnel observe the proper safety processes.
• Evaluates and recommends changes in tools or equipment to Parts Manager.
• Enforces safety requirements, including but not limited to forklift training and operation, processing of MSDS sheets on all products carried, and OSHA Right-to-Know.

Skills• Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with all manufacturer, local and federal regulations regarding the handling and shipment of Hazardous Material, including the training and enforcement of HAZMAT regulations within the staff.
• Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that may affect parts sales or transportation.
• Maintains appropriate appearance, including wearing a shirt and/ or uniform as designated by parts management to identify them as a Bachman Auto Group representative.
• Maintains a clean work area.

Work hoursDay and Evening Shift. Weekends
