Part Time, Temporary Network Administrator
The Network Administrator will ensure the stable operation and maximized use of the call center and related network components by planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software and communication links.
1.Assess and document current network configuration
2.Optimize current network configuration in regards to efficiency, security, and reliability
3. Maintain a written network as-built as well as hardware/software configuration log.
4. Maintain a network of several servers including Virtual Private Cloud, Terminal Server, SQL, web, fax/email, network archive, domain name controller and backup servers as well as their associated operating systems and software.
5.Maintain all cloud services including Office 365, Twilio, Zapier, and Digital Ocean environments, among others as needed.
6.Maintain an ACD switch and Call Recording server; promptly open and oversee service tickets with vendor of this equipment when required.
7.Manage telephony PRI and VoIP telephony circuits
8.Maintain all network peripheral hardware including routers, switches, hubs, firewall and UPS’s.
9.Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software and peripheral devices
11.Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards
12.Perform server and security audits as well as system backups and recovery
13.Recommend, schedule and perform network improvements, upgrades and repairs
• HS diploma or equivalent is required
•Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science is required
•1-3 years’ work experience in a network environment
•Must be able to work 20 - 29 hours per week & on-call if an emergency situation arises
•Must have a demonstrable technical knowledge of Microsoft network and PC operating systems Terminal Server, SQL, and IIS
•Must have application experience with a variety of languages, including web-based application development software
•Must have experience deploying full stack applications using Django or Flask to Heroku or AWS is a strong plus
•Must have excellent customer service skills and strong written and oral communication skills
•Must have a high attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
•Must have the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
•Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Texas driver’s license, and be able to provide proof of insurance and a copy of an acceptable driving record. Must have reliable transportation.
•Linux knowledge/experience preferred
•Industry Certification (MCSE, CCNA, etc.) strongly preferred
