Post high school training in engineering/maintenance related discipline
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
• Strong mechanical background with minimum 2 years hands on experience in maintenance related, requiring journey level responsibility. Hospitality preferred
• Ability to bend, stoop, and lift ( up to 75 lbs.) repetitively
• Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays
• Must be guest oriented and possess excellent hospitality skills
Internal Job Description Performs journey level work in painting, finishing and maintaining a variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures.
Performs work requiring the specialized skills of painting, in addition to performing other general maintenance duties.
Prepares, primes, sands, seals, patches and paints furniture, surfaces, buildings, and fixtures of all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water-proof and heat resistant finishes.
Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper, and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces and adjust colors when necessary, utilizes enhanced finishing skills when appropriate.
Applies materials to new construction, existing, multi-story buildings and alterations.
Graffiti response and removal using a variety of available products and soda blasting.
Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brush, roll, sprayers and pumps, etc. Safely stores and labels all materials.
Uses ladders as necessary in manners consistent with safety codes.
Responds to trouble/complaint/maintenance request calls throughout the hotel and grounds when directed to do so by supervisor.
May work with hazardous materials and chemicals in the performance of duties
Uses tools, equipment, materials and chemicals safely and efficiently according to manufacturer’s instructions/MSDS requirements.
Communicates status of job assignments and maintenance requests to supervisor.
Notifies supervisor/dispatcher as required upon completion of work assignment.
Is completely familiar with Hotel Emergency procedures and able to respond quickly and accurately during any emergency situation that may arise
