• Demonstrates proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment.
• Must pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical and background check.
• Must have ability to communicate at all levels including engineers, operations staff, mechanical and electrical staff and with customers.
• Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily.
• Be an example of integrity and honesty to the less experienced staff and be a lead with all job functions performed on site.
• Knowledge of safety training such HAZMAT class a plus.
• Experience working at an oilfield waste disposal facility is a plus.
• Must have the ability to perform basic math equations and have computer skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

High School diploma, trade school or general education degree (GED) required with ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational process, safety and quality instructions). Continuing education a plus.

Primary responsibilities are to provide administrative and operations support to the plant facility in the office as well as with the services provided at the facility to customers.
• Working knowledge of the jobs at the facility is essential if backup with customer volume is requested.
• Prepares customer tickets according to company procedures and required record keeping.
• Assists in directing customer truck traffic and various reporting and data entry requirements from waste received at the facility.
• Handles communication internally and externally with facility processes and employee needs.
• Interfaces with management at all levels and is available for temporary assignment for critical lead operations and staffing needs at other facilities as a member of the “Strike Team”.
• Provides assistance to Operations Manager and functions as a back-up in an assistant manager role as required.
• Practices safe work habits and ensures proper handling of materials and proper grounding of trucks. Executes corrective actions and preventative actions according to safety program before issues arise.
• Practices good housekeeping, maintains the cleanliness of the office area and facility. Works with manager and outside resources to ensure a clean and safe worksite
• Disposes of all fluids including oils and chemicals according to established safety and environmental policies when providing backup to operations staff.
• Performs administrative office functions including answering the telephone, monitoring emails,faxing, making copies, creating customer manifest and reports as required.
• Screens telephone calls and visitors, Takes accurate information and ensures that messages are delivered in a timely manner, Independently resolves most inquiries,
• Prepares customer tickets according to company procedures and required record keeping.
• Creates and distributes standard and customized periodic reports. Prepares documents and correspondence.
• Assists manager with work schedules and manpower needs to manage the facility efficiently.
• Provides on the job training for all positions on site to new personnel and functions as a lead to supervisory team.
• Assists personnel at facility as required with other operations and maintenance duties.
• Liaison to manager as backup when manager cannot be on site.

Employee Orientation; Safety, Equipment, regulatory training; May perform more advanced functions as part of training and development. Organizational and supervisory skills.

Back-up to Operations Manager with decision-making authority in his/her absence.

Receives intermittent supervision. Objectives, priorities and deadlines are typically defined. Often times works without supervision and requires ability to problem solve and think strategically and safely with operations mechanical and technical challenges on site. Assistance is given with unusual situations that do not have clear objectives. Plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies and accepted practices. Requires ability to know when to engage others and escalate a situation in working through crisis situations.

Acts to prevent conditions from getting out of hand or to resolve an issue as they see fit and reports immediately. Is preauthorized to cope with issues with diplomacy and then report the results of their actions right away. Must be proactive in elevating situation to management as required in order to prevent losses. Errors could be serious if truck is admitted with unacceptable materials or unloaded into the incorrect destination at the facility.

Contacts with immediate associates and immediate supervisor for instructions, training and guidance. Regular internal contact with all functional areas to communicate and resolve issues.
