We’ve been a trusted provider of flooring products to over two million satisfied customers in over 70+ markets, and we are seeking a detail-oriented, multitasking, strategic Merchandises Process Manager to join our Merchandising team at our corporate office in Northlake.
Reporting to the VP of Merchandising, this individual will organize the processes and work flows that support the Merchandising and Inventory teams. He or she will be the liaison between IT and the Merchandising department for documenting user and functional requirements for system enhancements, and direct the Item Setup (Product Configuration) process. This individual will interact significantly with other teams within Empire and external vendors.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as the Single Point of contact with IT resources on system enhancements and ensures the product configuration process is followed within Company guidelines.
Manages a team of associates who provide product data management support for the finance, merchandising, sales, IT, and other departmental groups.
Responsible for accuracy of data for Merchandising and Inventory Teams
Supports senior category merchants on maintaining comprehensive Item Master of active sku’s.
Manages the Claims and Return Authorization Team by ensuring timely and efficient claims processing and reporting with vendors and internal Empire Teams. Creates Market and vendor reports identifying potential issues for Merchandising or Installation team immediate follow up.
Manages the development of the sample vehicles including the distribution and inventory levels by market.
Serves as the Project Manager for the New Product process.
Partners with multi levels of management, associates, independent contractors, and vendors on merchandise and inventory related matters.
Performs ongoing system audits to ensure product costs are accurate and up to date, 100% accountable for system accuracy for merchandising and inventory impacted systems.
Provides ad hoc analysis as requested.
Performs other functions as necessary or as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (Computer Science or Information Systems).
5-7 years of relatable experience.
Demonstrated experience with Project Management a plus.
Proficient in computer skills (Excel, MS Word, Power Point, and internal systems).
Ability to multi-task and adjust to shifting priorities in a fast paced environment while managing deadlines.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams.
