Master Data and Bill of Materials Specialist

We are looking for an organized, highly detail oriented Master Data Specialist to join our Commercialization Team. The Master Data Specialist is responsible for creating all master data (Item Masters, Bills of Material, Routing, etc.) related to new products created by the Innovation & Development team.

The master data is maintained in the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning software (ERP) and is used for all company procurement, production, and inventory, costing, labeling and planning activities. Organization, accuracy and speed are of paramount importance.

This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products.

Maintain all Item Master details in ERP for all products.
Responsible for the creation of Bills of Material (BOM’s) for all products created by Chefs, including formulas, assemblies and packaging.
Write SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) on various department processes.
Build and assign routings to all materials.
Prioritize tasks, partnering with other departments who have an urgent need to update or add new items.
Handle all communications relating to issues, resolutions and status, with appropriate departments.
Continuously look for improvements, including new systems and processes that would improve the efficiency of the overall operations.
Audit data objects including SharePoint for accuracy and ensure needed corrections are completed and communicated properly.
Understands the management of Quality Systems and is familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure the safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
Will perform other duties as required by supervisor

Associates Degree with minimum two years of relevant functional experience.
Must have the ability to multitask, have a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
Minimum of two years’ experience in working with food manufacturing products or similar related industry material master cataloging experience.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Must have proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with an ERP system and SharePoint preferable.
