Kitchen Supervisor(BH)- AM Shift

Support the Crowne Plaza hallmarks and standards. Ensure proper preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, salads, pastries and desserts for restaurant and banquets. Assist with food preparation, setting up and running banquet buffets and practice proper food rotation. Assist with new salad recipes. Order produce as needed. Responsible for plating salads and desserts for banquets. Responsible for making sure staff has prep list for each day. Responsible for writing out function sheets for banquets. Train all salad associates. Ensure that F.I.F.O is used with food product in all fridges and freezers. Ensure a clean work area at all times. Responsible for implementing proper breaks and rotation of staff. All other duties as required.
Technical certification or Associates degree required. Culinary certification or degree required. Previous culinary and supervisory experience. One should demonstrate thorough culinary knowledge. One must understand the workings of a banquet event order. Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently. Must be available weekends and holidays. Have the ability to read and understand banquet event orders. One will be subject to wet floors, temperature extremes, and loud noises. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift and carry up to 40 pounds on a regular basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
