The Insurance Estimator role will be focusing on insurance restoration as well as regular commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform the estimation, effectively communicate with all parties involved, be the lead for quoted project management, and ensure accurate billing.
Education requirementsCollege degree is required, bachelors in construction field is a plus but not required.
Experience requirementsMinimum of 5 years in the insurance or construction industry working as an estimator.
Experience using Xactimate is a plus.
QualificationsMulti-tasking – must be able to handle 15-25 projects or more at a time.
Part of the job is sales so being an effective communicator/sales ability is important.
Fluent, business level English both spoken and written form.
ResponsibilitiesEstimate projects – most of the work we do is on existing structures so that means taking field measurements, photos, etc.
Using Xactimate software for insurance restoration projects.
Manage the projects that are estimated and awarded, handling the billing as well.
Work hoursM - F 40 hour work week. Special projects may require varied schedule from time to time.
