Entry Level Component Engineer

Since its inception in 1989, Component Services & Logistics has grown to support one of the world’s largest independent distributors of electronic components, America II Electronics which has operations located throughout the U.S., Europe, and Asia. As we continue to expand our global footprint, we are seeking a highly motivated Component Engineer to add to our team.
While this hands-on position does not have direct reports, the Component Engineer may oversee activities of quality control clerks for specific tasks.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Review test facility reports. Provide approval of authentication when required.
Implement, maintain, and provide training on test equipment and processes.
Responsible for developing standard operating procedures.
Provide technical support to all warehouse, sales, and quality assurance departments.
Technical lead focal point for component quality/performance issues.
Responsible for working with customer quality issues.
Two to five years experience working with electronic components.
Bachelor’s degree in electronics or electrical.
Knowledge of IDEA, JEDEC, IPC, OSHA, and EPA.
Strong computer skills with a demonstrated proficiency with Word and Excel.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Previous quality experience is highly desired.
Previous test environment exposure is a plus.
OEM/EMS exposure is highly desired.
