Carmel Manor is nearing completion of our expansion and renovations and we need more staff to work in our brand new facilities!
Performs duties not covered by the Dietary Manager and/or cook with good sanitary and safety guidelines.
Meets scheduled meal and snack times.
Follows long term care regulations and dietary department policies and procedures.
Follows cleaning schedule and performs cleaning duties as scheduled.
Follows sanitation and safety procedures.
Uses equipment and supplies properly.
Attends in-services meetings and training classes.
Obtains food and supplies as instructed.
Receives and stores food and supplies.
Follows the job schedule and procedure as assigned.
Arranges tray cards, serves meals, and loads food carts.
Completes dish and pan washing, storage and cleaning duties.
Delivers food carts to the nursing station or other designated areas.
Prepares and serves beverages, and serves meals to residents.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
At least 16 years of age and can follow instructions. Orientation and on the job training will be provided. Job requires standing, lifting, walking, climbing, and has potential hazards from kitchen/food service environment.
Must be able to follow orders and properly preform the assigned tasks.
Must be able to read, write and understand English.
Must be able to get along with and work well with others.
Must be in good mental and physical condition.
Must be able to relate to geriatric residents.
Works in a well-lit and ventilated kitchen.
Is exposed to heat in the kitchen and storage areas.
Must be subject to burns, cuts, falls and scalds.
Lifts at least 25 pounds.
Sits, stands, stoops, bends, lifts and walks intermittently during the workday.
Works a 40-hour week if full time as scheduled. Works as scheduled if part time.
Schedule may be altered depending on special function calendar.
