What you’ll do: The purpose of the Customer Service Associate is assist current guests in the planning of their vacation and be knowledgeable to answer their questions. The Customer Service Department is an inbound department customer care department that is a part of a timeshare vacation company’s marketing division. There are four major objectives of the Customer Service Department; first, to answer any questions and resolve any concerns of our guests and second, to overcome the objections of a guest wanting to cancel a vacation and keep them traveling. Third, the Customer Service Department will also link the reservation to revenue (via hotel upgrades, additional nights, attraction tickets, car rentals, etc) in order to ensure a fantastic vacation experience and minimize cancellations. Most importantly, the Customer Service Department will focus on the customer experience and quality control to ensure that we are sending qualified guests to tour our resorts during their vacation.

Specific Duties Include:
• Answering 50+ Inbound calls a shift
• Assisting guests with questions/concerns about vacations, resorts, and travel plans in a professional and upbeat manner
• Booking vacation travel dates and assisting guests with upgrades and enhancements
• Ability to compose professional notes and emails
• Ability to address a customer’s concerns with empathy and understanding
• Maintaining a level of courteous professionalism at all times
• Understanding of company policies and knowledge of company services
• Attention to detail in following up with our guests needs by placing outbound calls
• Assist guest with all corporate complaints
• Assist in the mentoring of new employees

What we do: The Bluegreen Vacations Service Center (BVSC) is part of Bluegreen Vacations’ Corporate Marketing sector. At the BVSC we have several departments that are responsible for both the selling of discounted vacations and creating reservations, adding upgrades, attraction tickets and car rentals to pre-existing vacation purchases. We also provide world-class customer support to existing guests. We’re a lively, fun group of professionals eagerly seeking to add some fresh talent to our Bluegreen family! Our call center takes inbound and makes outbound calls, has recently grown by 150 people, and is consistently upgrading and updating materials, software and programs to allow for efficient and exceptional customer service to our guests. Most positions are full time and offer outstanding benefits. We are primarily seeking individuals who are able to work a flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends. Alternative shifts are awarded by seniority, performance and attendance.


What you need:
• 1 year of customer service and sales experience, preferred
• Call center/retention and collections experience is a plus
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with a diverse group of individuals
• Exceptional written communication skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and with empathy
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule (nights and weekends)
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus
• Ability to type 30+ WPM
• Successful Customer Service Associates are customer-focused empathetic listeners, adept in problem solving and are able to deescalate stressful situations with ease
