We currently have an opening for a top notch individual at our Headquarters in San Antonio, Texas for the position of Manager, Corporate Accounting & Reporting. The Manager will be responsible for preparation of internal and external financial statements, as well as researching, advising and assisting in the implementation of technical accounting policies to ensure GAAP compliance across all HVHC companies.
1.Preparation of consolidated and consolidating financial statements and various management reports.

4. Evaluate and prepare formal conclusions and documentation on critical technical accounting topics and ensure GAAP compliance across all HVHC companies.
5.Assist with the development of financial policies and position papers (and monitoring compliance) to enhance internal controls, create efficiencies, and safeguard company assets without encumbering the business.
6.Assist in the annual audit including consolidating support for audited financial statements and footnotes.
7.Assist with accounting processing for HVHC parent company, including preparation of intercompany billings.
8.Assist in month end account analyses, ad hoc financial reports, supporting schedules and reconciliations for HVHC parent company as well as consolidation and elimination journal entries and work papers.
9.As needed, assist in the requirements gathering and implementation of a new financial systems and applications as it relates to accounting.
·Preferred Bachelor's degree in accounting field or equivalent combination or experience and education
·CPA certification required
Experience and Background:
·Three (3) plus years of Big 4 or large public accounting experience. Including one to two (2) years as senior accountant
·Strong GAAP and technical research skills
·Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
·MS Excel (i.e., Macros, Pivot Tables etc.)
·Reviewing and posting accounting GL
·Running financial statements
·Hyperion experience a plus
·Technical accounting – memo writing skills
· Adhoc reporting
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
·Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
·Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or Associates of the organization
·Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
·Ability to build business relationships and take partners across the business
·Self-driven and effective communicator
·Ability to work under strict deadlines, attention to detail and the flexibility to think of alternative solutions
·Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
