Confirmation Associate (Call Center Pre-Arrival Associate)

What you’ll do: The purpose of the Confirmation Associate is to assist current guests in confirming their vacation. The Confirmations Department is an inbound and outbound pre-arrival confirmation department that is a part of a timeshare vacation company’s marketing division. There are four major objectives of the Confirmations Department; first, to assist guests in confirming they are still planning to travel on their chosen dates and that they are still eligible for their pre-paid vacation. Second, in the event of a requested cancellation of that particular reservation, entice guests to reschedule inside of a 60 day window – by creating excitement, educating guests about special events, seasonal promotions, attractions and shows. Third, the Confirmations Department will also link the reservation to revenue (via hotel upgrades, additional nights, attraction tickets, car rentals, etc) in order to ensure a fantastic vacation experience and minimize hotel no shows. Finally, the Confirmations Department will focus on the customer experience and quality control to ensure that we are sending qualified guests to tour our resorts during their vacation.

Specific Duties Include:
• Placing outbound calls to guests 1-21 days prior to travel to confirm their dates and ensure eligibility
• Receiving calls from guests traveling within 1-21 days wishing to confirm their dates and reconfirm eligibility
• Know, understand and keep up with changing package, hotel, tour, DOP, destination and upgrade information
• Cancel and reschedule reservations as necessary
• Problem solve and provide excellent customer service
• Sell guests enhancements to the vacation, such as upgrades, extra nights, rental cars, tickets, etc. when available

What we do: The Bluegreen Vacations Service Center (BVSC) is part of Bluegreen Vacations’ Corporate Marketing sector. At the BVSC we have several departments that are responsible for both the selling of discounted vacations and creating reservations, adding upgrades, attraction tickets and car rentals to pre-existing vacation purchases. We also provide world-class customer support to existing guests. We’re a lively, fun group of professionals eagerly seeking to add some fresh talent to our Bluegreen family! Our call center takes inbound and makes outbound calls, has recently grown by 150 people, and is consistently upgrading and updating materials, software and programs to allow for efficient and exceptional customer service to our guests. Most positions are full time and offer outstanding benefits. We are primarily seeking individuals who are able to work a flexible schedule that will include nights and weekends. Alternative shifts are awarded by seniority, performance and attendance.

What you need:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of customer service and sales experience, preferred
• 6 months of Call Center experience, preferred
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with a diverse group of individuals
• Moderate data entry skills
• Ability to be flexible with work schedule (nights and weekends)
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem solving skills, interpersonal communication skills, able to perform well in stressful situations
• Successful Confirmation Associates are self-motivated, detail oriented, and are adept at multi-tasking
