The Southwest Center, located in southwest Jefferson County, provides supports to adults with developmental/intellectual disabilities in a variety of community-based services, each of which is geared towards helping our participants to live, work and enjoy life in his or her community.
Experience requirementsMust be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, a good driving record and reliable transportation, must pass a criminal background check and agree to random drug testing.
ResponsibilitiesThe Community Living Support (CLS) staff provides direct support to adult consumers with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. They assist consumers in performing daily living functions such as personal hygiene, dining skills, household chores, shopping, and community integration. CLS staff will facilitate consumers reaching their personal goals while documenting the progression, regression, and maintenance of those goals.
