Empire Today is looking for an experienced Commercial Market Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for identifying and pursuing commercial business opportunities by directing and assisting the commercial sales team in their sales efforts. This position is responsible for aggressively growing the business by working in concert with the local market sales and installation team, developing a team of direct-report commercial sales reps, and building and facilitating regional accounts. This position reports to the Regional Commercial Sales Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a commercial sales team with collaboration from the Regional Commercial Sales Manager (RCSM) and with input from the residential sales manager(s)
• Meet weekly with each commercial sales team member individually to review prior and current week activity and provide guidance for reaching business goals
• Go on regular ride-alongs with commercial account executives and select independent sales contractors to provide guidance, insight, experience, and assistance with larger or more complex jobs
• Develop and implement quarterly sales contests and promotions for improved performance and goal achievement incentives with guidance and approval from Region Commercial Sales Manager (RCSM)
• Working with the residential Sales Manager, establish commercial sales and knowledge-sharing agenda for market sales contractors at weekly sales meetings
• Develop prospecting initiatives and strategies in collaboration with RCSM to increase channel sales across key segments
• Analyze Dynamics CRM data to track market sales cycle metrics, channel sales data and salesperson revenue to forecast monthly and quarterly sales revenue
• Work daily with local and regional management to assign inbound leads to qualified sales representatives

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• 5 years commercial sales and/or sales management experience
• 2 years outside sales or lead generation experience
• Strong outside sales experience selling turnkey solutions in business-to-business environment
• Demonstrable experience developing and executing sales plans built on targeted strategies
• Excellent communication through writing, presentation development, and project management
• Strong ability to lead initiatives and motivate a team
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to set priorities work within tight deadlines
• Takeoff skills and experience with various measure systems a plus
• Knowledge of Home Improvement or Retail Industry a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
