We are currently looking for a full-time CNC Training Consultant. The CNC Training Consultant is responsible for the development, oversight and delivery of the CNC training and academic programs of the institution.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Develops curriculum framework for an operator and advanced operator certificate.
Develops framework for an Associate of Occupational Science with CNC concentration.
Develops syllabi for courses to be taught in the program.
Works collaboratively with SCTD staff to submit program for approval to accreditors.
Develops advisory board for the CNC program.
Responsible for managing and coordinating all equipment and activities as necessary to operationalize and promote the CNC program.
Assists in the development and delivery of the CNC-related training programs for industry and to promote the program.
Researches industry needs and desired outcomes
Schedules classroom and laboratory sessions
Works collaboratively with internal and external partners to plan and deliver training and projects.
Performs preventive maintenance and basic repairs to equipment
Identifies and builds relationships with suppliers and vendors;
Coordinates services, hires contractors and purchases materials as required.
Requirements of the position include:
Bachelor’s degree or Industrial Technology degree
Programming, set-up and operation of HAAS(CNC) machines with required certification
MasterCam Instructor Certification
Proficient in MasterCam X6, Solidworks 2012, and Flowmaster Suite of Software
Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills are important.
Ability to maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with students, faculty, and staff face to face and via the telephone.
