The Certified Medication Technician is responsible for ensuring that all residents are provided with the appropriate medications as designed by resident physician using the proper technique and within the allotted time frame. Is responsible for adhering to the all established Nursing policies and Company policies. The CMT follows direction of the Charge Nurse during the medication pass and asks questions of the charge nurse regarding questionable medications or resident's condition.
Requirements A) EDUCATION AND TRAINING: High school diploma preferred but not required
B) LICENSING/REGISTRATION/ CERTIFICATION: "Certification as a Nurse Assistant in Missouri
Certification as a Medication Technician in Missouri"
C) EXPERIENCE: Recent Long-term care experience preferred.
D) SKILLS AND ABILITIES: "Excellent communication skills to interact verbally with patients, visitors and staff.
Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards."
