As a Certified Dietary Manager for Saber Healthcare, we are not just looking for a body to fill a position, we want someone who fits into our desired culture and contributes to it as well:

Provide emotional support for patients and families – they chose Saber to care for their loved ones - we are now a vital part of their support system
Be dependable – our residents need to know they have a staff they can rely on
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the dietary department as well as its programs and activities
Supervise staff in the day-to-day operation of the Dietary Department
Make job assignments and set priorities
Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection of dietary staff
Monitor work assignments, provide feedback, evaluate performance, and discipline as needed
Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, and strict adherence to procedures regarding cleaners or hazardous materials or objects
Ensure proper storage of food and supplies
Ensure all utensils, dishes, equipment and work areas are cleaned on a timely basis
Ensure food and supplies are purchased within budget and are available for each meal on a timely basis
Assist Facility Dietitian/Diet Technician with any menu changes based on input from other department staff, resident preferences, and/or plate waste study(s)
Ensure food is nutritious, appetizing, prepared as planned, and served in a timely and pleasant manner
Ensure appropriate meals/snacks, and therapeutic diets, are served to residents with special dietary needs
Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to assure they are in compliance with physician’s orders
To qualify for this opportunity all we ask is that you:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Must hold or be capable of acquiring certificates required by the state.
Certified Dietary Manager preferred.
Serv Safe or similar food safety certification required
