Case Aides (CAs) serve RMYA in its residential treatment center, general residential operation, and emergency shelter. The primary function of the Case Aide is to monitor and maintain all records for all assigned residents. The CA will work directly with residents, direct care staff, Program Managers, Program Administrators, and Clinicians, who together form the Treatment Team, to ensure that all treatment and discharge goals are fully documented and communicated.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. At least one year of clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or social service experience or thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university is required.

SALARY: $11.00/hour

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires interaction with multiple supervisors, staff, and residents to meet a variety of concurrent deadlines.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a variety of stakeholders—often under pressure.
Experience working with an assortment of regulation-driven forms and paperwork.
Direct-care experience with emotionally or behaviorally challenged children and youth in a residential, shelter, or community-based setting is preferred.
Knowledge of Department of Family Services (DFPS) licensing and operating requirements.
Knowledge of child behavior and development principles.
Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members, service providers, and other professionals.
Ensure RMYA’s strategic vision, mission, and core values are implemented and achieved through its programs and services.
Ability to work successfully with MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and client management databases.
Ability to work independently and as a member of multiple teams.
Available to work flexible hours including some evening and weekends.
Successful clearance of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting and drug testing.
Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Must have acceptable driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain resident records and ensure they are up to date and in compliance with standards.
Responsible for obtaining and preparing all paperwork for End-of-the-Month packets.
Prepare packets for quarterly YFT Level of Service Reviews and Service Standards Monitoring, including desk reviews for all assigned residents.
Work collaboratively with treatment team and provide input in the development of the One Child One Plan (service plan) for DFPS residents, provide input and review of treatment plans for all assigned residents.
Support the educational liaison in parent/teacher conferences as the program representative. Maintain open communication with the school and the educational liaison).
Ensure that established medical interventions are delivered for assigned residents. Complete file documentation and report staff observations resulting from medications, known medical conditions, and newly observed symptoms to the Medical Coordinator through regular meetings.
Work at the direction of the Treatment Team to document each assigned resident’s STAR plan and discharge plan/goals.
Attend court hearings as necessary.
Transport residents to off-campus visits, therapy sessions, and help with medical appointments when the
Medical Coordinator is unavailable.
Assist with medication evaluations.
Meet bi-monthly with each assigned resident to discuss any needs, concerns, progress, etc.
Attend staff meetings to provide feedback to the staff as needed.
Participate in regular meetings with Program Administrators, Program Managers, and the Treatment Team to discuss residents’ cases, progress, goals, and behaviors.
In conjunction with the Program Administrators, Program Managers, and Treatment Team, maintain open communication with caseworkers, CASA workers, attorneys, and the child’s family.
Be familiar with minimum standards, RMYA policies, behavioral management system, and restorative practice.
Assist in the intake/discharge process. Work closely with the Program Managers and Program
Administrators to ensure that intakes occur as smoothly as possible.
Perform Special Projects as assigned.
