We are currently looking for a full-time Career Services Specialist for our Spencerian College campus in Louisville, Kentucky. The Career Services Specialist provides employment assistance to ensure the successful employment of graduates and alumni in their chosen career field. The CSS will build relationships with students, recent graduates and alumni to assist them in the career search process.

Responsibilities of the position include:
•Support the Director of Career Services in implementing Career Services department objectives and achieving goals.
•Assists graduates in their career search by working with the graduates on resume development, interview training, job search techniques, career-coaching, and other career search processes.
•Along with teammate, maintains a high employment percentage as measured by both SUS and accrediting body.
•Cultivates and maintains prospective employer relationships in order to ensure a high graduate placement percentage as measured by the Sullivan University System and as required by accrediting bodies.
•Retains accurate records and graduate files; additionally assists in preparing monthly, annual and other reports as requested by the Director.
•Assists with planning and conducting career fairs and participates in any corporate-wide career functions.
•Contributes to planning and conducting Graduation Confirmation events in order to educate pending graduates on Career Services procedures.
•Ensures up-to-date maintenance of Career Services database/reporting systems, documentation of student’s/graduate’s records in accordance with Sullivan University policies.

Requirements of the position include:
•Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
•Valid driver’s license, transportation and willing to travel as needed.
•Two years of related experience relating to recruiting, resume writing, and interviewing.
•An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office software and other related programs and technology.
•Knowledge of campus management software.
•Ability to develop and maintain relationships with business and individuals in the community who are prospective employers for graduates.
•Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
•Must be able to hear and speak well enough to communicate with students, staff, and employers face to face and via the telephone.
•Must be able to move or lift objects up to twenty-five pounds in preparation for an event or meeting
