As a Behavior Detection Officer (BDO), you will be part of an elite team that will conduct patrols and interact with guests, tenants, and others to proactively identify suspicion indicators, assess threat potential and engage in security interviewing in order to deter and prevent malicious acts, while providing the highest level of customer service. As a part of the proactive security model, BDOs develop and maintain close working relationships with federal, state and local law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and other private entity partners.

***BDOs will receive 40 hour Suspicion Indicator and Recognition Assessment (SIRA) Training and Certification.
***BDOs will be deployed at several SUPER BOWL LII event sites

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a State of Minnesota Armed Security Guard license
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a valid driver's license if driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle

ENVIRONMENT:
Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Experience requirements• Pass any State-required training and qualifications, which includes the absence of a record of conviction for crimes against persons or property revealed through a background check with the
• Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and / or the FBI
• Must possess a current and valid driver’s license

QualificationsWork history to include one or more of the following:
• Military experience
• Law enforcement experience
• Associates Degree or higher in Criminal Justice
• Work history must also include one or more of the following:
• One (1) year verifiable experience in guest services
• One (1) year verifiable experience in sales
• One (1) year customer service

Other Qualifications:
• Be able to work flexible schedules
• Have access to reliable transportation to and from the site location
• Outstanding verbal communication skills
• Proactive approach and ability to self-initiate work
• Strong time management, organizational and decision making skills
• Experience dealing with customers, troubleshooting or managing stressful situations
• Post offer, must be able to successfully complete the training requirement and obtain a SIRA™
certification

ResponsibilitiesSpecific Duties and Essential Functions:
• Deter terrorist activity, violent attacks and other malicious acts through patrolling, searching for suspicion indicators and assessing threat potential
• Based on detected suspicion indicators conduct friendly security interviews
• Utilize quick decision making skills and sound judgment acting in accordance with policies, procedures and state statue
• Respond accordingly to policy and appropriately deal with suspicious: behavior, items, and vehicles
Write clear and detailed reports
• Request assistance of law enforcement and intelligence agencies as necessary
• Ensure proper radio traffic, informing dispatchers and supervisors of all pertinent incidents and activities
• Provide outstanding internal and external guest / customer service at all times
• Hold additional responsibilities to support the department and perform other duties as assigned

Work hours• Must be able to work flexible schedules and respond to work assignments with little to no advance notice.
