Assistant Live Production Manager
The Assistant Live Production Manager is responsible for assisting in the overall success of the daily farm operations for Trillium Farms. This position works directly with the Live Production Manager, Sr. Live Production Manager, Farm Compliance, Maintenance Manager, Safety Manager, and Human Resources and Accounting.

Responsibilities and Duties
Supply the leadership required to motivate your employees to work as a team in meeting corporate and plant goals and objectives.
Provide leadership, direction and development to the processing supervisors and their teams.
Focus the plant on providing a safe, quality product and outstanding service to our customers.
Be responsible for the financial stewardship of the plant by developing a budget and implementing effective systems of control over the operating expenditures of the plant.
Create a working environment in the plant that enhances employee performance and retention.
Lead the plant in Initiating and executing plans and processes which minimize production costs through effective and efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
Drive the plant to continuously improve its processes and procedures.
Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout plant for problem-solving and cost reduction. Encourage use of new techniques and focus on fact/data based problem solving.
Promote a culture of safety. Maintain compliance to all FDA, ODA, EPA, USDA regulations, Trillium Farms’ Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF Program as well as the SE Prevention, Animal Welfare, and Bio-Security Programs.
Maintain an SQF Practitioner certification.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree required (i.e. Food Science, Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Operations, etc.) or commensurate experience.
5-7 years’ leadership experience in the Food Processing or Beverage industries.
Must have experience working with the USDA.
Good Communication (Written / Verbal) skills, organized, goal oriented, accountable. Good Leadership skills. Must be competent in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Bilingual in English & Spanish
Agile, able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to perform all job duties of processing supervisors. Also must be able to work in various climate conditions, including extreme cold.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
