After receiving production order and/or other information from the Group Leader, set up simple jobs by obtaining necessary fixtures, parts, skids, etc. Makes simple machine adjustments as needed.
This position requires moderate to considerable physical effort working with average or heavy weight material, not to exceed fifty (50) pounds. This position also requires standing for extended periods of time. The incumbent must have the ability to carry objects; perform dynamic activities including frequent bending and twisting of the torso, reaching and stretching; and standing for extended periods of time.
Typical shop floor with possible exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, heat, cold, noise, vibration, or oil. May be exposed to any number of these elements.
Safety glasses with side shields and steel-toed safety shoes. Other equipment on occasion.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Various small hand tools including hammers, pliers, overhead crane, scraper, air vises, grinders and other power tools as required. This position also requires the operation of hand and mechanical banders.
Education requirementsHigh School
QualificationsMust be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment.
Must be able to alternate between various assembly operations with moderate supervisory instruction.
ResponsibilitiesPerform various operations with or without fixtures involving:
Printing or marking by hand
Boxing, taping and/or labeling
Visually inspects products according to test specifications and/or blueprint.
Applies decals and inspection stickers before packaging completed units.
Applies touch up paint as required.
Loads and unloads storage racks, shelves, etc. as required.
Packages finished goods using plastic bags and cardboard boxes.
Keeps accurate count on completed products.
Performs necessary housekeeping duties to maintain clean work environment.
Responsible for basic maintenance of tools in work area.
Must meet department quality, attendance and productivity requirements.
2. Must perform duties in compliance with all safety rules and regulations required by Company, federal, state and local provisions.
