GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Provide instruction to Community College students within VisComm program.
Knowledge in typography, graphic design, branding, and/or photography is preferred.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Effectively deliver assigned classes in accordance with College loading policy and course objectives. [Also including clinical supervision or other program-specific responsibilities]. 2. Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and other course materials. 3. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and or other documentation as required. Maintain a safe, quality classroom or lab, including equipment, supplies, inventory, and maintenance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A qualified faculty member in visual communications meets both of the following criteria: 1. Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in fine arts, visual communications, design or related degree field, and 2. Has two of the following: - A portfolio that demonstrates significant involvement as a practicing artist or designer; - Professional certification in the field; or - Two years of directly related work experience, or - Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program.
