GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Provide instruction [classes, labs, clinicals] within specific program.
1. Effectively deliver assigned classes in accordance with College loading policy and course objectives. [Also including clinical supervision or other program-specific responsibilities]. 2. Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and other course materials. 3. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and or other documentation as required. Maintain a safe, quality classroom or lab, including equipment, supplies, inventory, and maintenance.
A qualified faculty member in manufacturing and industrial technology is one who has an earned baccalaureate or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in technology, chemistry, physics or engineering, or an associate degree in technology, with a baccalaureate or higher degree in supervision, business, or industrial/ vocational education; with academic preparation appropriate to the course and/or specialty being taught; or, has an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution with an advanced-level, national certification appropriate to the course being taught; and has one of the following: a) Professional certification in the field; b) Two years of directly related work experience. or A qualified faculty member in heating, ventilation and air conditioning is one who has a current Heating and Air Conditioning Occupational Specialists License granted by the Indiana Professional Standards Board for a specified Manufacturing and Industrial Maintenance program concentration in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.
